FACES

More Than a Face
There's something about a face...

I Remember

An elderly woman walked up and touched a painting by the late Oscar Thomas at a South Florida exhibit honoring Dr. King. As a tear rolled down her face, she softly said, “Oh my God, I remember.” She went on to share her heart wrenching experiences as a black woman living in Louisiana’s Jim Crow. As the widow of the famed artist, I felt chills of his life, legacy and memory coming full circle.
